Beauty & personal care directory 2026
Cosmetics & Personal Care Companies in Egypt
Eva Cosmetics is the local house BioNixus hears first from shoppers and from pharmacy merchandisers who still treat it as the default Egyptian personal-care name. L’Oréal Egypt, Unilever and P&G take the multinational volume that fills the same pharmacy bay and the Carrefour aisle. Elaraby’s personal-care slice sits on the industrial-group edge — a manufacturer that already makes appliances and now fills adjacent hygiene and care packs. The Egyptian Drug Authority is the cosmetics desk; it is not the grocery food authority and it is not a mall landlord. Specialty-beauty chains exist in Cairo but they do not run the country the way Faces runs a Gulf mall. This directory is an account map of those manufacturers, the pharmacy and grocery doors, and the EDA. Attar kiosks that never filed stay off the table.

How the market is structured
How an EDA cosmetic file reaches a Cairo pharmacy bay
Local
Eva, Elaraby personal care and the Tenth of Ramadan fillers — industrial-belt houses that still own mass cream and a growing private-label slice.
- Eva Cosmetics
- Elaraby personal care
Multinational
L’Oréal Egypt, Unilever, P&G, Henkel and Beiersdorf. The question is pharmacy bay versus grocery aisle, not whether the affiliate sits in New Cairo.
- L'Oréal Egypt
- Unilever personal care — Egypt
- Procter & Gamble Egypt — beauty and grooming
- Henkel beauty — Egypt
- Beiersdorf / Nivea Egypt
Regional
Gulf oud houses appear as imported lines through Alexandria. They do not run the pharmacy conversation Eva owns.
Pharmacies, beauty retail & distributors
Seif and El Ezaby as pharmacy offtakers, Carrefour as the grocery captain, independents as a thin prestige door, and EDA as the file desk.
- Seif Pharmacies beauty bays
- El Ezaby Pharmacies beauty bays
- Carrefour Egypt personal-care aisles
- Local Tenth of Ramadan fillers
- Cairo specialty beauty independents
- Alexandria import houses
- Egyptian Drug Authority — Cosmetics
Market structure
Pharmacy cream versus thin prestige colour
Eva, Nivea and Unilever live in the pharmacy bay and the grocery aisle. Prestige colour lives in a handful of Cairo mall doors that do not set the national calendar. BioNixus splits those samples on purpose. A single “Egypt beauty NPS” cell that mixes a Seif cream bay with a mall lipstick will not survive a client review.
Alexandria importers add a port fact for foreign juice. The EDA file and the customs entry are the two stamps; the Instagram seller is not a third stamp.
What is moving
What is moving beauty and personal care in Egypt
Pharmacy as the national beauty door
Seif and El Ezaby still outrank specialty chains for mass and derm offtake. A brief written like a Dubai Mall launch will sample the wrong buyer.
Eva as the local default
Shoppers and merchandisers still start with Eva. Multinational share is real; it is not a monopoly on the word “Egyptian cream”.
EDA file as the launch clock
Without a live Drug Authority path the pharmacy cannot legally sell. Influencer dates slip on the inspector’s queue.
Industrial-belt filling
Tenth of Ramadan and Qalyubia halls decide whether a founder’s pack exists. A Zamalek showroom study will miss the licence.

- Tenth of Ramadan filler tours that record which founder packs actually hold an EDA establishment licence.
- EDA-file walkthroughs with affiliate regulatory staff before a promised pharmacy launch week.
- Carrefour captain interviews on Unilever and P&G personal care that pharmacy buyers never attend.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Who regulates cosmetics in Egypt?
The Egyptian Drug Authority. Establishment licences and product files are separate. Food-control stamps do not cover a cream or a lipstick.
Is Eva the only local manufacturer that matters?
It is the default conversation, not the only hall. Elaraby personal care and contract fillers in Tenth of Ramadan take real volume. Sample more than one licence.
Where should a mass personal-care brief start?
Seif and El Ezaby pharmacy bays, then Carrefour. Add L’Oréal, Unilever, P&G and Eva. Skip mall specialty unless prestige colour is in scope.
Do Gulf-style Faces doors run Egypt?
They do not. Specialty exists in Cairo but pharmacy and grocery set timing. Design the sample around those buyers.
What fieldwork does BioNixus run on Egypt cosmetics?
Paired Seif–El Ezaby mystery shops in Cairo and Alexandria; Eva hall tours in the industrial belt; and EDA-file walkthroughs with regulatory staff.
Does the table rank Egyptian beauty brands by sales?
Rows mark licensed halls, pharmacy doors we shop, or the EDA desk. They do not claim a pound league.
