FMCG companies directory 2026

    FMCG Companies in Lebanon

Lebanon’s grocery basket is a Bekaa-plant and distributor-house story: Conserves Modernes Chtaura and Cortas on pantry, Liban Lait on milk, Kassatly on drinks, Indevco Fine on tissue, and Fattal or Holdal still deciding whether a Unilever or P&G pack reaches a Ras Beirut grocer after the last currency shock.

What follows is the Lebanese trolley — pantry, milk, drinks, tissue, laundry — plus the houses and grocers that still move it. Spinneys, TSC and Bou Khalil are the listing theatres in Beirut and the Metn; they do not replace the neighbourhood grocer and the wholesale depot that move labneh, molasses, water and washing powder in the Bekaa, Saida and Tripoli. Al-Wadi Al-Akhdar sits on Levant pantry bays a European category tree will mis-file. Unilever Levant and P&G Levant are typically Dubai-or-Beirut planned and Lebanon-executed through houses such as Fattal. The Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture share food and labelling desks; a yoghurt, a tissue pack and a shampoo can sit on the same control desk even when the halls differ. BioNixus walks grocer, distributor and banner when a brand team needs the Lebanese door that still held the pack.

    How the market is structured

Neighbourhood grocers, Beirut banners and a Bekaa-to-Fattal spine

Organised grocery in Lebanon is a Beirut-and-Metn conversation first. Spinneys brings a Gulf-and-Levant supermarket playbook; TSC is a different local banner logic; Bou Khalil is a further organised gate the trade still names. That trio is the listing theatre. It is a poor proxy for national labneh, molasses or laundry-bar volume. Neighbourhood grocers and wholesale depots in Beirut’s eastern districts, Saida, Tripoli and Zahle still take the weekday shop, and Fattal, Holdal and independent depots restock them as often as a principal’s own van. Conserves Modernes Chtaura, Cortas and Al-Wadi Al-Akhdar built pantry systems that assume that dual trade; Liban Lait assumes it for milk; Kassatly assumes it for drinks; Indevco Fine assumes it for tissue. Unilever Levant and P&G Levant are hub-planned and house-executed, so a bill of lading is not proof a Tripoli grocer faced the SKU. Currency and cash-versus-fresh-dollar pricing still rewrite pack architecture mid-month. Ministry of Economy labelling and Ministry of Agriculture food files sit on groceries; cosmetics run on a parallel desk. Write the caza, the trade type and the pack size. “FMCG in Lebanon” is not a study design.

    Local

Conserves Modernes Chtaura, Liban Lait, Kassatly, Cortas and Al-Wadi Al-Akhdar are Bekaa-and-Beirut industrial houses. They own pantry, dairy and drinks that a Gulf dashboard will mis-file as import fill.

    Multinational

Unilever Levant and P&G Levant are hub-served and house-executed. Presence is not the question. Merchandising in Spinneys versus a Tripoli grocer is the question.

    • Unilever Levant (Lebanon execution)
    • Procter & Gamble Levant (Lebanon execution)

    Regional

Indevco Fine is the hygiene layer that is Levant-wide. Fine tissue sits on the same Lebanese trolley as Unilever laundry and P&G personal care, so a converting-only brief will miss the grocer facing.

    Distributors & trade partners

Neighbourhood grocers still move the weekday trolley. Spinneys, TSC and Bou Khalil are the listing theatres. Fattal and Holdal are named route-to-market houses. Economy and Agriculture share the launch clock. Name the layer.

Why Fattal sits next to Chtaura on a grocery map

A medicines directory for Lebanon would open with a different set. This page does not, because a grocery-basket brief that mixes a hospital house into the trolley will send the field team to the wrong aisle. Fine tissue, Unilever laundry and P&G hygiene belong here because they share the grocer trip with Chtaura molasses, Liban Lait and water. Fattal and Holdal belong here because they are the route. The companies below are the account set for shopper and trade studies, not a census of every licensed factory.

    What is moving

What is moving FMCG in Lebanon

Bekaa pantry as a branded category

Chtaura, Cortas and Al-Wadi are a Lebanon-and-export fight, not a generic “condiments” row. Occasion, grocer credit and dollar pricing have to be designed into the sample.

Distributor houses as the execution layer

When coverage dies in Saida, the first interview is often Fattal or Holdal, not the brand manager. Design questions a house can answer.

    Currency as pack architecture

Cash-versus-fresh-dollar pricing rewrites gram weights and SKU counts mid-month. A list-price study that ignores the till currency will mis-read affordability.

Economy and Agriculture as a split launch clock

Labelling and food-establishment files can both stop a yoghurt or a conserve. Put timeline risk inside the study. Leave hospital drugs on the pharma directory.

How BioNixus studies FMCG companies in Lebanon

The accounts above are the ones our field teams and analysts work with. What a brand team typically commissions from us in Lebanon:
    • Spinneys versus TSC versus Bou Khalil facing checks on the same Unilever, P&G and Fine tissue SKUs in Beirut and the Metn.
    • Zahle and Chtaura pantry audits that keep Conserves Modernes, Cortas and Al-Wadi occasions separate.
    • Fattal and Holdal depot interviews on case offtake into Tripoli grocers when a Beirut banner figure looks fine and the street shop is empty.
    • Liban Lait fridge checks that keep sachet milk occasions separate from yoghurt tubs after a currency week.

    Questions

    Frequently Asked Questions

Which FMCG companies should we map in Lebanon?

Chtaura, Liban Lait, Kassatly, Cortas and Al-Wadi locally; Indevco Fine as the hygiene layer; Unilever Levant and P&G Levant as affiliates; Fattal and Holdal as houses; Spinneys, TSC, Bou Khalil and neighbourhood grocers as trade gates; Economy and Agriculture as the desks.

Is Spinneys enough modern trade for Lebanon?

No. TSC and Bou Khalil are distinct organised systems, and neighbourhood grocers still move labneh, molasses, water and laundry. A single-banner sample is a Ras Beirut catchment study.

Why do Fattal and Holdal both appear?

Because they are different houses with different principal lists. Confirm which brand sits where before you treat “the distributor” as one account.

What do the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Agriculture decide for grocery brands?

Economy watches labelling and consumer protection. Agriculture watches food-establishment and selected agricultural-product files. Either can delay a launch. Drug registrations are a different queue.

What does BioNixus study on the Lebanese grocery basket?

Neighbourhood grocer and wholesale audits in Beirut, Saida, Tripoli and Zahle; Spinneys versus TSC versus Bou Khalil planogram checks; Fattal and Holdal depot interviews when coverage dies outside the Metn; fridge and pantry work on Liban Lait, Chtaura and Cortas.

Is this a ranking of Lebanese FMCG houses by sales?

No. Rows are grouped by who owns the pack and who moves it, because those names keep turning up in BioNixus Lebanon work and on Economy or Agriculture files — not because the first row sold more.
